Malus kansuensis

Malus kansuensis, the Kansu crabapple, is a deciduous ornamental tree native to north-central and south-central China that appreciates partial shade and consistent moisture in well-draining soil. It puts on a lovely spring floral display and may produce small ornamental fruits attractive to birds in autumn. Prune in late winter before bud break and watch for typical apple family pests like fire blight and woolly apple aphid.
