Manyseed goosefoot is a leafy annual weed of the amaranth family that grows readily in cultivated and disturbed soils across Europe and temperate Asia. It requires little attention and thrives in fertile, moist ground in sun to partial shade. It is rarely cultivated intentionally but may appear in vegetable gardens and is related to edible species such as Fat Hen.
