Marsh club-moss is a specialist plant of wet, acidic, nutrient-poor habitats such as bogs and marshes, making it a challenging but rewarding choice for dedicated bog garden enthusiasts. It requires constantly saturated, low-nutrient, acidic substrate — standard potting compost will not suit it. This plant is best suited to naturalistic wetland or conservation plantings rather than general garden use.
