Menodora scabra

Rough menodora is a tough, fast-growing perennial suited to arid and semi-arid gardens in the Southwest, producing cheerful yellow flowers with minimal fuss. It prefers well-drained soils and partial shade, especially in hot climates, and tolerates brief dry spells once established. It is rarely available commercially and best sourced from native plant nurseries.
