Mesa pepperweed is a hardy native perennial adapted to dry, rocky soils of the desert Southwest and requires very little supplemental watering once established. Plant in a sunny to partly shaded location with excellent drainage and avoid overwatering, which can cause root rot. It is an excellent low-maintenance choice for xeriscaping and native plant restorations.
