Michaelmas daisy (Symphyotrichum lanceolatum) is a hardy, easy-care native perennial that produces masses of small white to pale lavender daisy-like flowers in late summer through autumn. Plant in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained garden soil and water regularly until established. Divide clumps every 2-3 years to maintain vigour and prevent the centre from dying out.
