Michaelmas daisy is a hardy, low-maintenance perennial that thrives in full sun to partial shade with average, well-drained soil. Water regularly during the growing season but avoid waterlogging, and cut plants back to the ground in late autumn after flowering. Divide clumps every 2-3 years in spring to maintain vigor and prevent the center from dying out.
