Mielichhoferia elongata is a specialist copper-tolerant moss found on metal-rich substrates and is extremely difficult to cultivate outside its natural habitat. Keep it in consistently moist, well-ventilated conditions with indirect or dappled light, mimicking cool alpine or subalpine environments. This is a species best appreciated in situ rather than as a cultivated plant, and is not recommended for home gardeners.
