Moth mullein
Verbascum blattaria
Moth mullein is an easy-care biennial or short-lived perennial that produces elegant yellow or white flowers on tall spikes in its second year. Plant in full sun to part shade in average to poor, well-drained soil and water only when the soil is dry, as it dislikes wet conditions. It self-seeds readily, naturalising in borders and wildflower gardens with virtually no intervention needed.
