Mountain pepperplant is a hardy, fast-growing native perennial well suited to rocky, well-drained soils in open mountainous habitats across the western United States. It performs best in full sun to partial shade and is well adapted to dry conditions once established, needing only infrequent supplemental watering. This unassuming plant produces clusters of small white flowers that attract pollinators and requires very little ongoing maintenance.
