Mountain-pride is a low-growing western native penstemon that produces vivid magenta-pink tubular flowers beloved by hummingbirds and bees. Plant it in full sun with excellent drainage — it thrives in rocky, gravelly, or sandy soils and dislikes wet feet. Once established it is quite drought tolerant and requires minimal care beyond occasional deadheading.
