Muscadine grape is a vigorous native vine that produces sweet, thick-skinned grapes prized for fresh eating, wine, and jelly. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil and provide a strong trellis or arbor, as vines can reach 60–100 feet over time. Prune annually in late winter to manage growth and maximize fruit production, and fertilize lightly each spring.
