Nutall waterweed
Elodea nuttallii
Nuttall's waterweed is a fully submerged aquatic plant ideal for ponds, water gardens, and freshwater aquariums, where it oxygenates the water and provides habitat for fish and invertebrates. Plant it in shallow water with good light and allow it to spread naturally as a floating or rooted oxygenator. Be aware that in some regions outside its native North American range it is considered invasive, so dispose of cuttings responsibly and never release it into wild waterways.
