Oenothera pallida subsp. runcinata

The runcinata pale evening primrose is a low-growing native perennial from the Chihuahuan Desert borderlands, well suited to hot, dry gardens with well-drained soils. Water sparingly once established and avoid heavy clay soils that retain excess moisture. Fragrant white flowers open at dusk and are especially attractive to sphinx moths and other night-flying pollinators.
