Oenothera pallida subsp. trichocalyx

This white-haired pale evening primrose is a delicate native wildflower suited to dry, sandy, or rocky soils in Western gardens. Plant in a sunny to lightly shaded spot and water sparingly once established, as overwatering is the most common cause of failure. Its fragrant white blooms open in the evening, attracting moths and night pollinators.
