Oriental Water Plantain is an aquatic marginal plant that grows best at the edges of ponds, water features, or in boggy soil that remains continuously wet. Plant it in full sun to partial shade where its delicate white flower panicles can emerge above the water in summer. It is used in traditional Asian herbal medicine and makes an elegant addition to water gardens.
