Oval-leaf knotweed is a tough, low-growing annual or perennial weed commonly found in compacted soils, pathways, and disturbed areas across a wide geographic range. It requires very little care and can tolerate poor soils, foot traffic, and variable moisture conditions. While rarely cultivated intentionally, its small flowers attract pollinators and its seeds provide food for ground-feeding birds.
