Pale echinacea is a drought-tolerant native prairie perennial that thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and very little supplemental watering once established. It produces striking pale pink to white drooping petals around a prominent cone from early to midsummer, attracting bees and butterflies throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering or leave seed heads in place over winter to feed birds and add structural interest to the garden.
