Pale flax is a slender, delicate wildflower that produces soft blue blooms and adapts well to well-drained, moderately fertile soils in sunny to lightly shaded spots. It is relatively low maintenance once established and tolerates dry spells better than many garden perennials. Ideal for naturalistic borders or wildflower meadow plantings, it self-seeds gently without becoming invasive.
