Narrow-leaf penstemon is a hardy Great Plains and Rocky Mountain native that performs best in full sun with well-drained sandy or gravelly soil. Once established it requires minimal supplemental watering and is very tolerant of cold winters across its native range. Plant in groups for a bold display of blue to purple tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators.
