Sweet narrow-leaf penstemon is a rare Utah endemic best suited to open, sunny spots with sharply drained, sandy or rocky soil. It needs very little supplemental water once established and benefits from excellent drainage to prevent crown rot. This uncommon variety is a wonderful choice for native plant and xeriscape gardens in the Intermountain West.
