Penstemon fruticosus var. fruticosus

Shrubby penstemon is a woody-based perennial native to the Pacific Northwest mountains, prized for its large lavender to purple tubular flowers that hummingbirds adore. It prefers well-drained, rocky or sandy soil in a sunny to partly shaded position and requires little supplemental watering once established. An excellent choice for rock gardens, native plant borders, and wildlife-friendly landscapes.
