Penstemon gairdneri var. gairdneri

Gairdner's penstemon is a small, drought-adapted native of Oregon and Washington that is perfectly suited to dry, gravelly or sandy soils and open sunny to partly shaded slopes. It demands excellent drainage and very little water, making it ideal for xeriscape and rock garden designs. Lavender-pink flowers bloom in late spring, attracting native bees and hummingbirds.
