Penstemon gairdneri var. oreganus

The Oregon variety of Gairdner's penstemon is a rare, low-growing native subshrub found in the dry slopes of Idaho and Oregon, best grown in sharp-draining, lean soils with ample sun. It is extremely low-maintenance once established and should not be overwatered or fertilized heavily. Tubular lavender-pink flowers emerge in late spring, providing early-season nectar for pollinators.
