Penstemon rydbergii var. oreocharis

Rydberg's penstemon (mountain variety) is a compact, clump-forming native wildflower that performs best in well-drained soils with partial sun across western mountain regions. Once established it requires very little supplemental irrigation and is well suited to naturalized meadow or rock garden settings. Rich blue-violet flower spikes bloom in early summer and provide excellent forage for native bees and hummingbirds.
