Perennial knawel
Scleranthus perennis
Perennial knawel is a low-growing, mat-forming plant native to sandy and rocky soils across central and northern Europe, well suited to rock gardens and dry, nutrient-poor borders. It requires very little care once established — simply provide full sun to partial shade and well-drained, lean soil. Avoid rich or waterlogged soils, which can cause it to decline.
