Phlox diffusa subsp. longistylis

Long-styled Spreading Phlox is a slow-growing, mat-forming perennial native to mountain meadows and rocky terrain across the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies. It performs best in well-drained, gritty soil with partial shade and regular moisture during spring and summer. This subspecies is rarely found in commerce and is best appreciated in native plant gardens or alpine-style rockeries.
