Phlox divaricata subsp. divaricata

Wild Blue Phlox is a charming native woodland perennial that produces fragrant lavender-blue flowers in spring and spreads gently to form attractive groundcover. It thrives in partial shade with consistently moist, humus-rich soil and is an excellent choice beneath deciduous trees. Once established it is low-maintenance; divide clumps every few years to maintain vigor and encourage flowering.
