Pickerelweed is a vigorous native aquatic perennial perfect for pond edges, rain gardens, or water features, where it thrives in shallow standing water or saturated soil. Plant it in a sunny to partly shaded spot and it will reward you with tall spikes of violet-blue flowers all summer long. It spreads readily and requires minimal care beyond dividing clumps every few years to control spread.
