Pine lupine is a fast-growing Pacific Northwest native that does best in well-drained, slightly acidic soils in a partly sunny location. As a legume, it fixes nitrogen in the soil, making it a great companion plant for garden beds. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage reblooming and prevent unwanted self-seeding.
