Platte river cinquefoil is a dainty native perennial producing bright yellow five-petaled flowers on low-growing mats, ideal for rock gardens or naturalized prairie plantings. It performs best in partial shade with average moisture and is well suited to the challenging climates of the Mountain West and Great Plains. A fuss-free plant, it requires little care beyond occasional watering and looks beautiful cascading over rocks or edges.
