Poplar-leaved cistus
Cistus populifolius
Poplar-leaved cistus is a sun-loving Mediterranean shrub with large white flowers and attractive poplar-like foliage that is well adapted to dry, rocky soils. Once established it requires very little water and thrives with neglect, making it an ideal choice for drought-prone gardens. Plant in full sun to part shade in free-draining soil and prune lightly after flowering to maintain a tidy shape.
