Prickly sedge is a hardy, clump-forming perennial grass-like plant well suited to moist borders, rain gardens, and naturalistic plantings in partial shade. It requires very little maintenance once established, needing only occasional division every few years to maintain vigour. Its fine-textured foliage provides year-round structural interest and valuable ground cover for wildlife.
