Silvery primrose is a charming alpine native producing delicate lavender-pink flowers above rosettes of mealy, silver-dusted foliage in moist meadow and subalpine conditions. Plant in partial shade with consistently moist, humus-rich soil and provide good air circulation to prevent crown rot. It is best suited to rock gardens or naturalistic alpine plantings in cool climates.
