Prunus lyonii

Catalina cherry (Prunus lyonii) is a fast-growing California native evergreen tree or large shrub that is highly drought tolerant once established, making it ideal for low-water landscapes and native gardens. Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil and water regularly during the first two years to establish a deep root system. It produces fragrant white flowers in spring followed by dark fruit attractive to wildlife, and requires very little care once mature.
