Myrcia splendens is a glossy-leaved tropical shrub or small tree native to Central and South America, best suited to warm, frost-free climates or large conservatories. It prefers well-draining, fertile soil and a position with bright indirect to partial direct sunlight. Water regularly during the growing season and feed with a balanced fertiliser every 4–6 weeks to encourage healthy foliage and flowering.
