Ramose false-brome
Brachypodium retusum
Ramose false-brome is a hardy, drought-adapted ornamental grass native to Mediterranean scrublands, well suited to dry, rocky, or poor soils in a sunny to partly shaded position. Once established it needs very little watering and thrives on neglect, making it an excellent low-maintenance choice for dry gardens and naturalistic plantings. Avoid rich or consistently moist soils, which can cause lush but weak growth.
