Rhamnus crocea subsp. insula

Island redberry is a rare California Channel Islands native shrub best suited to coastal gardens with well-drained soil and mild temperatures. It tolerates partial shade and once established requires only occasional irrigation, making it suitable for low-water California-style landscapes. Its small berries attract birds and it provides excellent habitat value in native plant gardens.
