Rhus trilobata var. simplicifolia

Skunkbush sumac (simple-leaf variety) is a tough, drought-tolerant native shrub of the American Southwest that offers attractive foliage, small yellow flowers, and red berries used traditionally by Native Americans. Once established, it requires very little supplemental water and thrives in well-drained to rocky soils with partial shade to full sun. It makes an excellent low-maintenance choice for native plant landscapes, erosion control, and wildlife gardens.
