Rivet wheat is an ancient tetraploid wheat variety best suited to open, sunny garden plots or field-scale growing and performs well on heavier clay soils that other wheats struggle with. Harvest when the straw turns golden and the grain is firm, then thresh and store in a cool, dry place.
