Rose-of-sharon

Hypericum calycinum (Rose-of-Sharon or Creeping St. John's Wort) is a tough, low-growing ground cover that produces large, bright yellow flowers throughout summer. It tolerates a wide range of soil types and light conditions, from full sun to part shade, and spreads steadily to suppress weeds once established. Mow or cut it back hard in late winter every few years to keep the foliage fresh and compact.
