Rosebay willowherb (fireweed) is a resilient wildflower that produces striking spikes of magenta-pink blooms in summer and is beloved by pollinators. It grows well in partially shaded spots with average moisture and spreads readily by windborne seeds, so deadhead spent flowers if you wish to limit self-seeding. Once established it needs little attention, making it an excellent low-maintenance choice for naturalized or wildlife gardens.
