Rubus mercieri
Rubus mercieri
Rubus mercieri is a rare European bramble native to France and Switzerland, best grown in a shaded to partly sunny garden border with humus-rich, reliably moist soil. Like other brambles, it benefits from annual thinning of older canes to encourage fresh growth and better flowering. This is a specialist collector's plant seldom found outside botanical gardens or specialist nurseries.
