Running blackberry is a sprawling, low-growing native bramble that thrives in moist, partly shaded woodland edges and meadows in eastern North America. Provide consistent moisture and allow it room to spread, as it sends out long trailing canes that root at the tips. It is an excellent ground cover for naturalized gardens and provides important habitat and forage for wildlife.
