Sagebrush buttercup is a delicate early-spring wildflower native to western North America that blooms close to snowmelt, making it one of the first flowers to appear each season. It requires excellent drainage, gritty or sandy soil, and goes summer-dormant, so overwatering after flowering will cause root rot—allow the soil to dry out considerably once blooms fade.
