Scutia spicata var. pauciflora

This extremely rare Galápagos endemic shrub from the Rhamnaceae family is virtually unavailable in the horticultural trade and is best suited to specialist botanical garden cultivation. It requires a climate that mimics the mild, seasonally dry conditions of the Galápagos Islands and well-drained soil. Growing this plant outside its native habitat is a significant challenge best left to experienced botanists.
