Sea couch grass

Elymus athericus, commonly known as sea couch grass, is a robust perennial grass well suited to coastal and estuarine environments where it stabilizes salt marsh soils. It is extremely tough, tolerating salt spray, periodic flooding, and poor soils with minimal care. Best used in naturalistic or coastal restoration plantings rather than formal gardens.
