Sea kemp
Plantago maritima
Sea plantain is a tough, salt-tolerant coastal perennial that thrives in sunny, exposed positions with sandy or rocky, well-drained soil. It requires very little maintenance once established and is an excellent choice for seaside gardens, green roofs, or wildlife-friendly borders. Its slender flower spikes attract pollinators and the seeds are relished by small birds.
