Water-loving ragwort (Senecio hydrophiloides) is a native perennial of moist mountain meadows, streambanks, and wet subalpine habitats across western North America. It performs best in consistently moist, organically rich soils with partial shade and cool temperatures, making it ideal for rain gardens or shaded bog-edge plantings. Though not commonly found in the nursery trade, it is a charming wildflower for naturalistic or native plant gardens in cooler climates.
