Senecio vernalis

Eastern groundsel (Senecio vernalis) is a resilient annual-to-perennial composite that produces cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers in spring and early summer in a variety of well-drained soils. It tolerates sun and partial shade and requires minimal care once established, making it easy to grow in wildflower meadows, disturbed ground, or informal garden borders. Note that, like many Senecio species, it can self-seed freely, so deadhead spent flowers if you wish to control its spread.
